| Abraham and Isaac |

|
It has been my belief that Isaac was not a child but an adult. That he knew that his father Abraham had been ordered by God to sacrifice him. There is no deeper agony for a parent than to lose a child. Sacrificing one's son is unimaginable. Is this moment before the sacrifice in that time of dreadful knowing and anguish between Abraham and Isaac? Or is it the moment after the Angel gave the Lord's respite, where relief, love and, yes, anger filled their souls? Size: 22" x 28" ![]()
